No matter from which window you are looking, in this holiday apartment in Sicily you always see the blue sea. Here you will forget hustle and bustle.
Gliaca di Piraino, Messina, Sicily, Italy
In Gliaca di Piraino directly at the steep coast above the former Saracene tower “Torre delle Ciavole” the holiday apartment Casa Saracena I is located.
The holiday apartment in Sicily really is very specially located that is to say just like a bird`s nest it is located in a rock face reachable by a short (600m) but winding road. To the centre of the village Gliaca di Piraino with all shops, a supermarket and restaurants it is only 600m.
Directly at the house a private parking lot is available free of charge. To the beach, too, it is a walking distance of just 600m or 2 minutes by car.
The holiday apartment Casa Saracena I offers two bedrooms. One bedroom is equipped with a double bed, a balcony with a fantastic sea view and air condition. The second bedroom is fitted out with 2 single beds.
In the living room there is a sofa bed for two persons. SAT-TV with all international programmes, Internet WIFI, a video recorder and more than 100 films and air condition are available.
The absolute highlight is the large terrace with a breathtaking sea view of rare beauty. Here you will forget all your problems and the open sea will completely bewitch you. Extremely beautiful are the sunsets colouring the sea orange and red.
Gliaca di Piraino the small village (ca. 1.000 inhabitants) directly at the sea is part of Piraino (ca. 3.900 inhabitants) located further up in the hills. In summer – especially during the high season – Gliaca is a lively sea resort with beautiful beaches. The rest of the year it is more quiet and sleepy – that is to say typical Sicilian. Nevertheless you get in the village all you need for your holidays. There are sufficient supermarkets, restaurants, bars, shops as well in Gliaca as in Piraino. It is just 3 km along the wonderful coast between Capo d`Orlando and Capo Cavala to the something bigger places Brolo and Gioiosa Marea. Here night owls will have good times.
Nearby Cefalu, St. Stefano di Camastra (ceramics), the National Reserve Nebrodi, the Laghetti di Marinello (the most beautiful sandy beach in Sicily and conservation area) and the towns Capo d`Orlando and Gioiosa Marea are worth visiting. It takes you ca. 1 ½ hours by car on the motorway to go to PALERMO, Sicily`s capital. It is absolutely worth going there but, please, drive carefully! The traffic in Palermo is chaotic!
